Is it kosher?
Hello Mazel is "Kitchen Kosher," meaning all of the ingredients are kosher (we'll never send chocolate dipped bacon to your door) but the products don't necessarily carry a hechsher (certification of rabbinic supervision). We are committed to supporting small producers, local artisans, and self-funded businesses; many of whom simply cannot afford the high cost of a hechsher. As a secondary issue, we don't yet have the capacity to do either an exclusively Kosher or box-without-food, but we're exploring the possibility for Phase II or Phase III of our development. Stay tuned.
Will my box fit in my mailbox?
Unlikely. It's 12"x10"x4".
When will I get my box?
It depends on when you place your order. Here's our schedule (subject to slight changes depending on Jewish holidays):

Why do I have to wait so long?
Our goal is quality, not quantity. We use this time to thoughtfully curate, source, assemble, and ultimately ship your package to you.
Will I be billed when I subscribe?
Yes, you'll be charged immediately, even though your box might not ship for a bit. And then your subscription will renew automatically every 3, 6 or 12 months on the "anniversary" of your first billing date.
Are sales tax and shipping included?
Residents of California pay sales tax, which shows up on the confirmation page of the subscription process. This is because we are headquartered in San Francisco. Same goes for shipping costs, which is reflective of our direct cost to get your box into your hands using FedEx smart post.
Do you do international shipping (Canada, UK, etc.)?
We're currently shipping only to the US and Canada. We're still working on figuring out customs, tariffs, shipping costs, etc. for other countries. Keep an eye on this space and we'll let you know when we add other locales for our friends abroad.
Can I return my box or get a refund?
Unfortunately, we are not able to accept returns nor can we refund a box that has already been sent to you. If you are unhappy with your box and are a subscriber, you may cancel your subscription at anytime. If you received a defective product or are missing a product in your box, please contact us at email@example.com and we'll gladly do everything we can do to resolve the situation.
Do you offer some kind of guarantee?
We put all our effort into creating a great box experience for you. We guarantee that the value of the box will always be greater than the amount you paid for it. We hope you enjoy your box as much as we love making it.
